Sportscaster Life began in 2008, under the name The Broadcaster Hub to satisfy a lack of a centralized location for resources on play by play and sports broadcasting, and what was available was often obscured and different to find. The Broadcaster Hub began as a way to catelogue and refer back to valuable pieces of information.
In January 2016, The Broadcaster Hub rebranded as Sportscaster Life. While The Life retained all of the old content inventory, the focus moving forward was for Sportscaster Life to be more of a professional blog on sportscasting,
as well as a resource website. Sportscaster Life continues to grow through professional networks, as well as social media channels which are used daily by fellow sportscasters in the course of their work.
Sportscaster Life reaches thousands of readers per month with quality information and resources on sports broadcasters and in order to grow, Sportscaster Life is seeking one or two ongoing contributors.
Contributors will be asked to submit two to four feature articles (500-1000 words) per month on sports broadcasting. These articles can range from personal experiences (blogs) to tips and techniques they use. This opportunity is ideal for those with stories to tell and tips to share, but who lack the technical ability or time to manage and maintain a full website or blog. Life Contributors receive discounts with all Sportscaster Life merchandise, products and programs.
Interested candidates should email [email protected] with a brief history of their experience in sports broadcasting and suggested topics of what they would enjoy writing about.
