Known for his extensive vocabulary and his unique delivery of the game, lead NBC announcer Doc Emrick is often considered in a class of his own. And unlike many announcers, he has not adopted social media to the extent of having his own Twitter account (unfortunately @DocinRealLife isn’t him).
This means that any glimpses into his work has to come from others, like this from @lukefoxjukebox, an NHL editor for Sportsnet in Canada. After game 5 between the Hawks and Lightning of this year’s Stanley Cup Finals, Luke posted the image below showing Emrick’s score card from the game. Everything is colour coded (red for Chicago, blue for Tampa), the sheet also includes important game notes and birthday’s of select retired players.
